Tom Shires, Partner at Baylor Evnen Wolfe & Tannehill, LLP in the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group, has been elected to serve as KCNE Board President for 2024.
Although, Mr. Shires grew up in Colorado, he has strong ties to Nebraska and has always been a lifelong Husker fan. Mr. Shires enjoys Husker games, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.
Cheri Lenhoff, Client Services Manager for RAS Companies, has accepted the role of Chair for the KCNE Scholarship Committee for the 24-25 academic year.
Cheri is an active Board Member who also works with the Golf Event Team. She says that her service to the Kids’ Chance of Nebraska mission is rewarding and uplifiting.
A generous recognition of Kids’ Chance Awareness Week was received in November 2023 from NCCI who donated $1000 to KCNE to promote our outreach to scholars and families.
Chris Smith represented KCNE at the 2023 NASBO Convention in Lincoln to spread awareness to educators from across the state about scholarships.
We are so grateful for our new Board President, Cadrien Livingston who was elected and is serving us in 2023. Cadrien became a KCNE scholarship recipient in her sophomore year at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Another huge thanks to Workers’ Compensation Association of Nebraska for yet another generous donation of $40,000 in 2019!
